Microsoft Copilot (formerly Bing Chat) works best with the Microsoft Edge browser and login with an ITSC user account to enable data protection. Without using the Microsoft Edge browser or without using an ITSC user account to login, your maximum chat responses and token size (i.e. your prompt length) will be decreased.
Login to Microsoft Copilot by using your ITSC account for Data Protection
Go to Microsoft Copilot webpage (https://copilot.microsoft.com) and click on the “Sign in” button. Enter your ITSC account (e.g. xxx@ust.hk) in the Sign-in screen, then input your password. 2FA checking may be required during login.
Using your ITSC username and password to login to Microsoft Copilot will enable data protection which is required if you need to deal with sensitive information. Without logging to Microsoft Copilot with an ITSC account, you may need to desensitize your sensitive data to avoid your data is used by Microsoft Copilot.

- Windows 11 - Microsoft Copilot is available in Windows 11 as a shortcut in the taskbar.
- Microsoft Edge browser - Microsoft Copilot is also available from the sidebar of the Microsoft Edge browser.
